Our Team

Pastor Tim grew up in Breckenridge, Michigan and was a part of the Edgewood
Church of God. He attended Spring Arbor College, and it was during this time that
he met his wife, Tera. They have been married for 34 years. They have two
children, Madison (Michael) and Gabe (Zoe) and one grandchild Jude.

Tim has a heart for speaking and teaching. He has been a pastor since graduating with a degree in ministry from Spring Arbor University in 1992. Along with his work at the church, he is also one of the proud owners of Avink, McCowen and Secord Funeral Homes. He sees this as an opportunity to continue caring for and ministering to people in their time of pain and mourning. His wife, Tera, is passionate about bible study, discipleship and woman's ministry. She loves to worship God through music and you will often see her singing on the worship team.

In addition to his church pastorate, Tim has spent his life stepping into moments
where people need compassion most—serving as a firefighter and EMT.

When he isn't at the Church, you can usually find Tim outdoors—hiking trails,
capturing nature through wildlife photography, or mountain biking.
